FIVE family houses for this weekend

N0. 1  Arncliffe.  This suburb always appears on the ‘soon-to-be-hot’ list.  Incredibly reasonable prices for solid homes close to the CBD.  The local school, Arncliffe Public, is well-known for its public speaking, music and language programs.

Arncliffe,  94 Forest Road.   For Sale $1.1 – 1.2M.  4 beds, views, close to train.

No. 2 Surry Hills – No longer shoeless kids in laneways.  Close to all museums and sporting grounds.

Surry Hills, 115 Goodlet Street.  For Sale $1.45M.  3 beds plus parking.   Parking nudges this house above other current offers.   It has the bones to be a better house.   Local school, Bourke St Public, is having a renaissance and their fetes are renowned.

58 Marshall St, Surry Hills  – also for sale at $1.45 with 3 beds, a studio but no parking.

No. 3 – Sans Souci.  I have an irrational love of this suburb’s name ‘Without Care’.

69 Ramsgate Road, Sans Souci

Staying south of the CBD for a bit more, as the prices are still a tad more reasonable, is this older house with modern extension.  Facing north with water views it’s up for auction via McGrath

No. 4 Cammeray.  The current lifestyle favourite

16 Alan St, Cammeray   4 beds, spa, water views, north facing, architect involved.  Auction with no price indicated.

No 5.  Balgowlah Heights – saving the best till last.

25 Ernest St Balgowlah Heights.  Anything ‘Hamptons’ in Sydney is a seller.  This architect home is a combination of Queenslander and Hamptons.  Only thing missing is a pool but that’s my preference   For Sale at $2.4M
